Mourning After is a solo electronic space rock project featuring the creator of PhillyMusic.com, Tim "Flipper" Allen. Started in 1989 with a computer, some custom programmed software, a Strat Squier, a Yamaha FX-550 processor and a 4-track, it has grown to become a gearheads dream.
Featuring a guitar rig consiting of close to 40 pedals, Mourning After creates music with an ethereal background sound from the computer (think Enigma and Delirium) with roaring, dreamy guitar waves on top (think My Bloody Valentine, Pink Floyd, or Lush).
Some of the more rare pieces in the effect collection are the Maestro Parametric Filter, a 1968 original issue Hendrix Expeience Fuzz/Octave/Swell pedal, and custom made effects run through a laptop machine.
